Land Management Volunteers

Our land management volunteers help us maintain the 212 wonderful acres of the ELC. We welcome help in many different areas and no two volunteer experiences are identical.

All land management volunteer opportunities will take place at the ELC. We ask volunteers to come prepared to work and dressed to get dirty. We suggest you bring layers, a water bottle, and sun protection. Bring work gloves if you have them, but the ELC has more than enough for your to borrow.

Individual Volunteers

There are several individual volunteer opportunities through the year. For all of these events, we ask that you RSVP via email and come prepared to work.

Friday Afternoon Volunteering – join us every Friday through May 10 from 3-5.

Service Saturday – our last Service Saturday event is being held on April 27th from 9-12.

If you have any helpful skills or experience, let us know, as we may have a project perfect for you!

Group Service Projects

Do you have a group who is interested in coming and helping out? We’re happy to have you! We can work with you to find a project that fits the needs of the ELC and the interests of your group. Any groups smaller than 5 are also welcome to attend one of our individual volunteer opportunities.

Contact us ahead of time to arrange a date and time. Our spring schedule books up early; the earlier the better!

We can also help facilitate long-term and larger-scale service projects for students or scouts.

CSUnity

Join the ELC, student groups from CSU, and other community members on Sunday, April 21 for the 27th annual CSUnity, a National Volunteer Month CAMmunity Tradition. This event is the ELC’s largest annual volunteer day and is a perfect way for us to jump-start our summer session. The event will take place at the ELC from 12-4.

Each year the CSUnity projects change, but this year we will be working in our garden, improving our trails, removing invasive plants, and working on erosion control along the Poudre River.
