E-CAMP: Winter Safety and Survival at Rocky Mountain National Park
April 13 @ 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
E-CAMP is for students who are currently in grades 6-8 and who enjoy exploring the outdoors. Each spring E-CAMP program is $15 per student. You can register individually for each spring program, but we highly encourage students to sign up for every program date, as this will encourage community-building and group-bonding.
Drop off and pick up will take place at our East Drake site.
We will drive up to Rocky Mountain National Park, where the educational rangers will guide us in a snowshoe hike starting from Bear Lake. We will learn about winter safety and survival; what materials to bring and what skills to know in order to survive a winter worst-case scenario. Students will assess avalanche danger, use avalanche safety equipment and enjoy the last of winter in the mountains!
