E-CAMP: Winter Mountain Safety and Survival
April 12 @ 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Each day of E-CAMP runs from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm and is $15 per child. Drop off and pick up for all events will take place at our East Drake site, though we will be taking off-site field trips for some programs (see below). You can register individually for each spring program, but we highly encourage students to sign up for every program date, as this will encourage community-building and group-bonding.
Friday, Apr. 12: Winter Mountain Safety and Survival in Rocky Mountain National Park
We will drive up to Rocky Mountain National Park, where the educational rangers will guide us in a snowshoe hike starting from Bear Lake. We will learn about winter safety and survival; what materials to bring and what skills to know in order to survive a winter worst-case scenario. Students will assess avalanche danger, use avalanche safety equipment and enjoy the last of winter in the mountains!
We have full and partial scholarships available for E-CAMP. Please request a scholarship before you register for E-CAMP. Registration for Spring 2019 E-CAMP will open at 6 am on January 16. Click here to register.
